Weightlifting Ireland Level 1 Coach
Pete co-founded GoLift Weightlifting Club in 2012 and has been supporting the development of coaches and lifters ever since. He began lifting in 1998 and has represented Northern Ireland at the 2002 Commonwealth Games as well as many other international competitions.

Niall McGovern

Niall has over 4 years in competitive Olympic Weightlifting. He has experience coaching at Weightlifting Ireland and Northern Ireland Weightlifting events.

Kaitlin Saunders

Kaitlin has over 5 years experience in competitive Olympic Weightlifting, boasting a strong international presence having competed at both European Seniors and World Championships. She has a strong understanding of how to succeed at a competitive level.

Abbie Moore

Abbie has experience coaching at Weightlifting Ireland events, helping our lifters succeed at a national level. She has a friendly and personal approach, taking on beginner and intermediate lifters to help build confidence in the Olympic lifts.

Ryan Love

Ryan has been coaching our youth lifter for over 3 years. His calm and understanding technique has enabled our youth lifters to experience their first taste of the platform. He has helped progress lifters from youth to senior lifters with great success.

Matthew McKee
Senior Coach
Weightlifting Ireland Level 1 Coach
Matthew has a multitude of competitions under his belt having competed at a nation level in British Aged Groups. He is intuitive and methodical in his coaching, focusing on technical development and movement patterns to boost perfromance.
